Tanya Harding is one of the most successful softball
pitchers that Australia has produced. She has also been
ranked in the top five pitchers in the world for the
past decade.
Tanya put her dream into a plan, put that plan into
action and made those actions into achievements. A three
time Olympic athlete and an international sportswoman
competing at the highest level for the past 15 years;
this is a true testament of her work ethic, deication
and commitment to her sport.
Through hard work, determination and the ability to
keep her dream alive, Tanya has gone beyond her original
expectations.
During her career she has achieved in excess of 25 National
and International awards, as well as one Olympic Silver
Medal and two Olympic Bronze Medals, a Silver and Bronze
Medal from World Championships.
Taking time out from the diamond in 2001 to give birth
to her daughter, Tanya returned to the pitching mound
in 2002 only to continue to produce outstanding results,
culminating in two National Championships and numerous
individual awards.
Tanya expresses a passion and enjoyment for her sport
where she is constantly giving back not only to her
country but also to all that come in contact with her.
